After completing her diploma in Fine Arts at the “Academie libanaise des Beaux-Arts” (ALBA) in Beirut, Lebanon, Maya Husseini specialized in the art of glass making and coloring in Chartres, France in 1985.

Today, Husseini is a leading stained glass artist in Lebanon, specializing in churches, chapels, general restoration as well as household decor (such as candle holders, vases, windows, glasses etc).

At “l’atelier du vitrail – Cedre Verre”, Husseini creates unique handmade projects, objects and furniture out of colored or translucid glass and often collaborates with an entire team of interior architects and designers.

In 2005, she was among the recipients of the UNESCO Crafts Prize 2005 for the Arab States in Tunisia.
